Orthodontic FAQs

What is the best age for orthodontic treatment?

While many patients begin treatment between ages 10 and 14, orthodontic treatment is effective for adults too. It's never too late to get a beautiful smile!

How long will I need to wear braces?

On average, orthodontic treatment lasts between 12 to 24 months, depending on the complexity of the case and the patient's cooperation.

Will braces hurt?

You may feel some soreness when they are first put on or adjusted, but this is temporary and easily managed with over-the-counter pain relief.

Can I still play sports or musical instruments?

Absolutely! We recommend wearing a mouthguard during sports, and for woodwind or brass instruments, there may be a short adjustment period.
