Clear Aligner Treatment Process

How Clear Aligners Work

The clear aligner journey begins with a comprehensive consultation and digital scan of your teeth. Dr. Rohit Gupta creates a detailed treatment plan showing the projected movement of your teeth at each stage. You'll receive a series of custom aligners, each worn for about two weeks before moving to the next set. Most treatments are completed in 6 to 18 months, depending on the complexity of your case.

Clear Aligner FAQs

Can I eat while wearing clear aligners?

No, you should remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than plain water. This prevents damaging the aligners and trapping food against your teeth.

How many hours a day must I wear them?

For the best results, clear aligners should be worn for 20 to 22 hours per day, removing them only for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.

Are clear aligners painful?

Some minor pressure or discomfort is common when you start a new set of aligners as your teeth begin to move, but this typically fades within a few days.

How do I clean my aligners?

Brush them gently with a soft toothbrush and rinse in lukewarm water. Avoid hot water as it can warp the plastic.
